Tesla updates Referral Program in the US. Canada is Next

Tesla occasionally updates its referral program based on a number of factors, including strategic direction.

This article describes the U.S. program at the time of reporting. It is not confirmation of current Canadian eligibility or benefits.

As of October 29, the U.S. program has been refreshed, and the new direction is obvious : Full Self-Driving.

In an effort to increase FSD subscription numbers, Tesla is encouraging owners by letting them offer one free month of FSD. Each owner can make up to 12 offers per calendar year.

If the person referred (the referee) subscribes during the free trial, the referrer receives one free month of FSD in return (or a $99 Tesla credit if they purchased FSD outright).

The catch?

The referrer must already be subscribed to FSD (or have purchased it outright), and the referee must not have subscribed to (or purchased) FSD for at least the previous 12 months.

It can sound a bit confusing at first, but everything is streamlined through the Tesla app.
